What We Learned Positioning 5 Brands Across the France–Morocco Corridor
Five companies guided across the France–Morocco corridor over two years, in both directions. A few constants emerge, regardless of sector.
The Corridor Isn’t Symmetrical
A French company entering Morocco and a Moroccan company entering France don’t face the same obstacles. The first must prove local relevance; the second often must prove a perceived quality level, independent of the product’s actual reality.
Specificity Always Wins
The engagements that worked best were the ones where the client accepted narrowing their positioning rather than broadening it to please everyone. A precise value proposition aimed at an identified segment converts better than a generalist “for everyone” pitch.
The Time Factor Is Underrated
Every successful engagement involved active follow-through in the first 90 days after the new positioning launched — not a deliverable handed over and forgotten. The market reacts, and the narrative has to adjust accordingly.
